Tree Care for Ochlockonee Bay's Waterfront Properties
Serving Ochlockonee Bay's waterfront properties along Coastal Highway 98. KC Tree brings dependable tree trimming, removal, and storm cleanup to local homeowners and anglers.
Ochlockonee Bay sits at the mouth of the Ochlockonee River, where tidal flats meet pine flatwoods and the yards along Mashes Sands Road catch every bit of wind the Gulf sends north. That salt exposure wears on bark and root systems faster than it does further inland, and it means local tree care has to account for conditions most companies never deal with.
Many properties here back right up to the water near the boat launch at Mashes Sands Park, which leaves overhanging limbs a real concern for docks, boats, and the roofs of waterfront homes. KC Tree understands how coastal trees behave under stress, whether that means a live oak leaning over a seawall or a pine stand thinned out by years of salt spray.
Homeowners and small business owners along this part of 98 trust KC Tree for honest, affordable tree services that respect the land and the budget. We offer free tree removal estimates so you know the cost before any work begins.

What Makes Tree Care Different Along the Bay
Trees around Ochlockonee Bay face conditions that inland Wakulla County properties rarely see. Understanding those differences is part of doing the job right.
- Sand live oaks and slash pines dominate the area, and both can develop weak limb unions after repeated storm exposure
- Sandy, well-drained soil means shallower root systems that are more prone to toppling in high wind
- Salt spray off the bay accelerates bark stress and can lead to dead or diseased limbs going unnoticed until they fail
- Tidal flooding during tropical systems can waterlog roots near the shoreline, calling for storm damaged tree removal soon after
- Seasonal gutter cleaning and roof blowing keep pine needles and leaf debris from building up on waterfront homes
- Properties near the Ochlockonee River State Park boundary often need extra care to avoid disturbing protected natural areas

Kalem, the owner, came out to give me an estimate hours after contact. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. He cares for the environment and our wildlife as much as he fires his customers, which is an amazing and rare quality! I will only ever hire this company for tree work, and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Do you handle gutter cleaning and roof debris removal along with tree work?
Yes. Many homes near the bay collect pine needles and leaf debris fast, so we offer gutter cleaning, gutter leaf removal, and roof blowing as part of our seasonal tree care services alongside trimming and removal.
